Green Valley AZ Continental School

Yes, even though Green Valley is a retirement community, we do have an elementary school within out borders.  As I said before, there are pockets of the Green Valley community where families live.  The children from these families are pretty lucky, because the Continental school is a small school keeping high standards of education.  The teachers and staff are able to provide individualized attention to the children because they have help from about one hundred volunteers from the GV community.  These volunteers help the kids in many areas of their education. The school is safe and the teachers are top notch.  Continental School was named an 'Excelling' school by the Arizona Department of Education in 2007.

The school houses 381 students, in preschool through eighth grade.  There are two classes per grade level, with fewer than 24 students per classroom.  The District employs 23 teachers and 28 administrators and support staff members.  Continental School District accepts open enrollment students from outside the District on a space available basis. Classes are capped at 24 students. This helps to keep the school's educational standards at a high level.  Read more about this great school at the school's website:
